In view of the fact that the law that would determine the concept of state information policy of Ukraine was not yet adopted and there is no single plan or single information industry development strategy, the Committee members did not merely upheld the initiative of refining legislation in the abovementioned sphere, but are ready to get involved into elaboration of the necessary bills and doctrines.
The people’s deputies unanimously took the decision to address the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Defence Ministry of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, NDSC and the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection with a request to provide all possible suggestions in the part of maintaining information security in Ukraine.
Apart from this, the decision was taken to hold a joint meeting of the Committee for Informatization and Information Technologies with the Committee on National Defence and Security. It is planned to invite leading experts and chairpersons of government institutions that are responsible for information and cybernetic security of Ukraine.
